MCUs, classified as type II, ASTM D 16, are single package compositions that cure by the reaction of residual isocyanate groups with atmospheric moisture to form di substituted urea and biuret linked polymers.MCUs need very minimal surface preparation like hand tool or power tool cleaning, but no sand or grit blasting.
